California Lutheran University Choir
We begin our trek of Holy Week with the wonderful sounds of the California Lutheran University Choir under the direction of Dr. Wyant Morton. The California Lutheran University Choir is the premiere choral ensemble at CLU. The choir has earned an enviable reputation in its home state and throughout the Western United States for its commitment to performing the finest in choral literature from all eras in their original languages. While dedicated to performing works that represent the University's Lutheran heritage, the choir also embraces innovative new music as well as music expressing a multi-cultural perspective. Each fall the members of the choir are carefully selected by audition. While several are music majors, the ensemble reflects the diverse interests and disciplines of the California Lutheran University student body. In March 2004, the choir was honored to sing at the invitation of the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) at their annual convention held in Sacramento.

Sunday, April 6th - 4:00 P.M.
Credo Quartet, St. Petersburg, Russia
Founded just four years ago, Credo Quartet was formed with the desire to sing the choral music of many countries, musical styles and traditions. This esteemed vocal ensemble produces fresh interpretations of many well-known choral works that are customarily sung by larger choirs. Though the group is very young, each of its members has great working experiences in leading choirs of Saint-Petersburg. The Russian Orthodox musical heritage comprises the heart of Credo's repertoire. However, the quartet also engages the listener with an array of Russian folk songs, western classical music styles, contemporary works by Russian and international composers.

Sunday, May 18th - 4:00 P.M.
